Board & Train - What is it?
When learning new habits and behaviors, dogs need consistency, and our Board and Train programs provides that. Available as a 2, 4 or 6 week session, Board & Train is essentially a training camp for your dog. He or she will stay with us at our home on our 10 acre ranch and benefit from specialized training in a controlled setting, as well as off-site training in realistic environments.
We customize each Board & Train program depending on your goals and your dog’s needs, which can include puppy training, basic beginner to advanced obedience, off-leash training, behavior modification, and more. The goal is to develop a wonderful relationship with your dog who is obedient, confident and can follow your commands, anywhere. All Board and Train programs include lessons with the owners during your pets stay at various times. This is important so you learn as well as your pet, and become comfortable handling all your pets new skills.
Our training style is done through a positive and balanced approach, clear communication, creating a better relationship, and using the dog’s natural drives (energy) and desire to please. We offer free pick up and delivery in the Gardnerville/Minden area.

Private lessons are approximately 1 hour long.
Lessons are customized to fit you and your dogs needs.
Lessons take place on our beautiful training field in Gardnerville. $100 per hour
Lessons are also available in local public areas that are dog friendly. $125 per hour.

Boarding
Dogs love it here at Dogtown. We are very different than a traditional boarding facility. We are a "Boutique" style kennel, which basically means your pet is in a home and family environment. They are not in their kennels all day. They receive lots of attention and are routinely let out to play and roam on our large play field multiple times a day. If appropriate for your dog, they have the opportunity to play and hang out with social groups of dogs.
On approval, some dogs may enjoy the comforts of being "house dogs" while here for extra special care. You can't go wrong either way. This is also our home so they are never left alone.
Boarding at Dogtown is primarily available to dogs who have been trained by Dogtown or approved dogs by Teresa or referral. We are not a public boarding facility. Please call to make arrangements and check availability.
$55 per day. Boarding at our home.
$60.00 per day. House, cage free boarding on
approval.

FREE Evaluation and Consultation
We offer free, 30-minute, in-person consultations with a trainer to go over our private & group training packages. The trainer will offer recommendations as to which program and package is best for you, and provide you with an overview of the training process. There is no obligation or pressure to sign up.

Dogtown K9 Training requires every dog here for training or boarding, to be current on all their vaccinations, including Bordetella.
